You weren’t meant to live in survival mode.

I help moms heal from within, release guilt and generational patterns, and reconnect with themselves, so they can create a calmer, more aligned life for themselves and their children.

Not sure where to start? Start here.

The Mom Fog Quiz takes three minutes and helps you identify exactly which type of fog you are living in right now, and what that actually means for what you need.

What you think, you create.

What you feel, you attract.

What you imagine, you become.

Hi, I’m Juliana—and I see you.

You Don't Need More Time, You Need a Different Approach

September 15, 20263 min read

For years I chased the idea of self-care that required time I did not have. An hour of journaling. A quiet bath while someone else handled bedtime. A whole uninterrupted morning to myself. All beautiful. All, for a long stretch of my life, completely unrealistic.

And because I could not access that version of self-care, I quietly decided I must just be someone who did not prioritize herself properly. Another thing to feel guilty about, on top of everything else.

It took me a long time to realize the problem was never my discipline. It was the model.

The advice that does not fit real mom life

Most self-care advice is built for a version of life that includes long, uninterrupted stretches of time. Read a mom's actual day, and you will not find many of those. You will find five minutes here, three minutes there, snatched between school runs and meetings and someone needing a snack right this second.

If your only definition of self-care requires an hour, you will simply never get there most days, and you will feel like you are failing at rest the same way you might feel like you are failing at everything else.

So I stopped trying to fit myself into that model, and started building tools that fit into the actual minutes I had.

What a real reset looks like

A genuine mental reset does not need to be long to be effective. It needs to interrupt the spiral, bring you back into your body, and give your nervous system a moment to remember it is not actually in danger, even when the day feels like a lot.

That can happen in five minutes. Sometimes in less.

It might be three slow breaths with your hand on your chest before you walk back into a chaotic kitchen. It might be naming out loud, quietly, three things that are true and steady right now, when your mind is spinning through everything that is not. It might be stepping outside for sixty seconds and letting the air do something your to-do list cannot.

None of this requires a spa day. It requires knowing what actually works for your nervous system, and giving yourself permission to use it in small doses, often.

Why small and frequent beats big and rare

There is something almost counterintuitive here. A five-minute reset you can actually do every day will change your baseline far more than a two-hour self-care day you can only manage once a month, if that.

Consistency, even in small doses, is what teaches your body that calm is available, not just something that happens on vacation. It rebuilds trust with yourself, one small moment at a time.

I think about it less as a checklist and more as a set of tools I keep close, ready to reach for whenever the day gets loud. Some days I use them three times before 9am. Some days I forget entirely, and that is fine too. The goal was never perfection. It was having something real, and fast, for the moments that actually need it.

You are allowed to need less than you think

If you have been waiting for enough time to finally take care of yourself, I want to gently tell you something. You may be waiting for a version of time that was never coming. The five minutes you already have might be more than enough, once you know what to do with them.
